How To Create ("Export") Your Campaign:

Start by browsing through Ads By X for campaigns you want to promote.

You can search (by product name, niche or keyword), and filter ads by niche and type.

At the moment, there are several types of ads on Ads By X:

• Web pages - these complete web pages are pre-sells for ClickBank affiliate products
• Text ads - these are Google AdSense style text ads (250 width & approx 150 height)
• Sidebar images - these are 300x250 image ads - specifically designed for "sidebars" on sites like WordPress blogs
• Thank you page ads - these ads are designed for product owners to use on their download ("thank you") pages.

So just check the type you want, enter a niche or product name - and start your search.

Once you've done your search, you can now browse through our database of ads. You can arrange and browse by several criteria:

• Popularity - the total number of affiliates who've promoted this ad over the last 30 days
• Click rate % - the percentage of times the ad has been clicked on (versus impressions) for all users
• Loyalty - how many days the average affiliate uses the ad - and by implication how profitable they found it to be.

Then, when you have found an ad you are happy with, it's time to export it. To do this, just click on the checkbox:

Then, if you just want to export that ad, click the "export" link and you will be taken to the bottom of the page.

Then, enter your ClickBank nickname and click "submit" to create the "code" for your ad:

The final step to exporting your new code is to select all of the text shown, right-click and choose "copy":

Now you have successfully exported your ad!

The next step is to import the code into your website

Advanced tip: split-testing with Ads By X:

One of the main benefits of Ads By X is the ability to instantly "split-test" 2 or more ads against one-another.

Split-testing is a way of pitting two ads or campaigns in a head-to-head - so you can let the two run, and see which is the winner. Once you have found a winning campaign, you can then test it against other campaigns - or simply promote it safe in the knowledge that it's a winner.

Split-testing is an important marketing tactic - but the problem for affiliates is up until now you need advanced software to do it. This software is expensive and difficult to setup, and time-consuming to use. But now, with Ads By X, it's just a case of clicking a few buttons and your split-test is created instantly! So you can split-test 2 or more Ads By X campaigns (whether its a web page or image) in seconds.

All you need to do is check more than one campaign on the Ads By X database.

Check all the campaigns you want to split-test against each other - and once you've chosen all your campaigns, hit export and proceed as normal. Now, when you import your code into your website, the ads you've chosen will automatically run against each other.

How to import your campaign into your website

To import the code into your website, all you need to do is paste your code into the place in your site where you want it to appear. Doing this will depend on the website you are importing to, but in most cases you will need to first open the web page you want to paste the ad into (in a "HTML editor" such as DreamWeaver), paste the code you copied above, and then upload the page (normally either via FTP or File Manager in CPanel).

The good news is that importing your campaign into a WordPress blog like our Website X system is extremely easy.

Just login to your WordPress admin - and click on "new post" at the top right of the screen.

This will then take us to a page where we can create new posts on our WordPress blog:

On this screen, we want to start by clicking on the "HTML" tab (shown above). Now we paste the code into the white space.

We're almost done! You can also add the name of the product in the title box ("Blogging to the Bank") as a title for your webpage.

Then, we click publish - and that's it - our campaign is now live! You can also click "view post" on the next page that loads to view your post:

How To Track The Results Of Your Campaigns:

Each campaign is loaded with its own tracking ID - so you can see exactly which ad has generated sales for you. In case you don't know, and just to back up a bit, each ClickBank affiliate link ("hoplink") looks like this:

(affiliate is your ClickBank account, product is the "vendor ID" of the product you are promoting, and tid=123 is our tracking ID. Tracking IDs are special codes we can use with our ClickBank affiliate links to track referring sales.

The great thing about all the ads on Ads By X is that they come automatically loaded with a tracking ID, which is also our the ID of the ad on the Ads By X directory. So, if we take this web page for the Tweetomatic Profiteer affiliate program, you can see the ad ID is 211. Since the "vendor ID" for this product is tweeto, it means our affiliate links will look like this:

http://yourlinkx.tweeto.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=211

Note the ?tid=211 at the end of the link. To see if this TID has generated any sales, we just login to our ClickBank account, click on "reporting" and then "transactions"...

... and look at the TID column:

Here you can see that I've generated several sales for the ads with IDs "180" and "174". I should therefore focus on these 2 web pages as they seem to be converting especially well.

That's how I check sales at a quick glance.

But you can also get more information if we want to. In fact, we can see not just sales but also clicks your ads are getting. The way we do this is by clicking "reporting" then "analytics":

Then, on the left hand side, click "view as affiliate" and then "by tracking ID":

Now, you should see that a big table with data such as clicks ("hop count") will appear:

Again, its a case of matching the ad Ids of the products with the Tracking IDs shown here to see where we should focus on.

Once you get enough clicks and sales - and you know which ads are getting well, you can return to Ads By X and create new campaigns to split-test against the old ones - or simply just launch new campaigns with just the winners.
